Loop

Reinventing second-hand shopping

Project description

Loop is an innovative project set in Berlin’s Alexanderplatz that aims to reimagine the second-hand retail industry. This interdisciplinary endeavor combines the thrill of clubbing, fashion, and technology, transforming customers‘ perception and experience of second-hand stores. The project was conceived and executed by a team of four talented individuals, each contributing their expertise in various fields.

the structure and roles

Our team was comprised of four members, each heading a different aspect of the project. I served as the Head of Presentation and Advertisement, focusing on graphic design and visual communication. Temi Kamara, another graphic designer, acted as the Head of Brand. Additionally, we collaborated with a product designer, Lion Zeise (Head of Product) and an interior architect, Laura Cuellar (Head of Customer Experience). Although initially, we had an architect on the team, due to unforeseen circumstances, she had to leave the project, leaving the four of us to bring this ambitious project to life.

To effectively communicate Loop’s unique value proposition, I spearheaded an advertisement campaign targeted at Berlin’s vibrant club scene. I orchestrated a photoshoot featuring three models, resulting in striking, high-quality images. These photographs were then meticulously transformed into dynamic poster designs and strategically placed as bus stop advertisements throughout Berlin. Located in crowded S+U Bahn stations and well-known areas frequented by our target audience, these ads resonated with the local club scene. This process involved careful image editing, overlaying brand-specific colors, and pertinent information, effectively broadcasting Loop’s unique allure across the city.

App design

The Loop app, an integral part of our project, offers an interactive and user-friendly interface for customers. It allows customers to browse clothing options, place orders, track them throughout the store, and even engage with various in-store features.

Hologram animations

A standout feature of Loop is the hologram animations projected on the store’s exterior windows. Serving as an engaging showcase, these animations allure potential customers and provide a glimpse of the futuristic shopping experience that awaits them inside.

Conceptualization

As a key member of the team, my role involved conceptualizing and integrating the diverse elements of the project to form a cohesive and engaging retail experience. The blend of fashion, technology, and clubbing ambiance makes shopping at Loop not just another chore, but an exciting, social event.
